This is my sons' Pepa pig cake for his 2nd birthday! I didn't use any cutters, it is all handmade as you can see. The inside, is a chocolate cake made from 3 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, 2 cups brown sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 2 cups water, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 vanilline and 1 cup margarine.
You just mix the dry ingredients together and you beat in a hand mixer the sugar with the margarine and the water.
Then you fold the dry ingredients into the mix of margarine/sugar/water. You pour the mixture into a non stick cake pan and you bake about an hour or less at 170 C degrees, until a knife comes out from the hot cake, clean and clear.
Let your cake cool completely and then cover with different colors of fondant. The way to do that is the next post here on Donkey.
